No More Booking Fees

Short and sweet today. No fishing report, just a straight-up announcement.

We killed the booking fee.

If you’ve booked with us online before, you’ve seen a convenience fee tacked onto your checkout total. It was there because running an online booking system costs money and the fee helped cover the overhead of self-service bookings.

We never loved it. You definitely never loved it. So we got rid of it. Permanently.

What changed

Starting today, when you book a charter at dirtyboat.com, what you see is what you pay. No convenience fee. No processing surcharge. No surprise line items at checkout.

The only thing on top of the charter price is Florida sales tax on shared charters (that’s the state, not us) and the standard card processing fee that Stripe charges to run your card. That’s it.

Private charters don’t carry sales tax. Cash and Zelle payments don’t carry a card processing fee. Simple.

Why now

Because it’s the right thing to do. We’d rather earn your business by putting fish in the boat than by nickel-and-diming you at checkout. Every other charter in the Keys is adding fees and surcharges. We’re going the other direction.

What stays the same

• Same boats. DirtyBoat, Miss Penny, Just Cuz, and the rest of the fleet.
• Same captains. Same crew that’s been fishing these waters for years.
• Same trips. Half day, three-quarter, full day, swordfish expeditions, split charters.
• Same cancellation policy. 14+ days out, full refund. No deductions, no holdbacks.
