The mangrove snapper spawn moved to the ocean side on the July full moon. We got pushed off the first spot, slid a quarter mile to a yellowtail hole, then jumped back on the mangrove pile in 25 feet. Enough for lunch and home.

Left the dock at sunrise loaded with live bait and brined ballyhoo. Worked the hump, hit weed lines in 900 and 1,200 feet, and Captain Chad pitched a bait to a big bull mahi that put on a show before coming to the boat.
