Tampa Family Mahi Hunt Pays Off

Chris and Jamie brought Bronson, Brock, and Grandma Dawn down from Tampa for an offshore mahi trip. We stayed inside the deep bite, worked birds, weed edges, turtles, and scattered life, and came home with 10 schoolies and a teenager.

Dan brought his son Jacob down from Mount Dora for a graduation-present fishing trip before Jacob heads to Tallahassee. We hunted from the patches to the 409 Hump, the tuna grounds, and the swordfish ledge before finishing with a dozen mahi.

Limit of Mahi — Luca & the Boys Go Deep

Luca brought his two sons down from North Carolina for a shot at swordfish. Plans changed when a massive school of mahi showed up in 1,300 feet of water — biggest one over 25 pounds. We caught our limit and headed home with a full box.
