Chris and his family from West Virginia chased mahi on a three-quarter day. Started picking fish in 350 feet, pushed deeper following birds on flying fish, and finished the day with a 5-bagger in 700 feet.

Mark, Chris, Lily, and Ivy came down from New Smyrna Beach to celebrate Chris's birthday with a half day on the reef. We scratched out yellowtail in snotty conditions off Alligator Light, then put Chris on a big barracuda before heading back to Robbie's. Current was screaming and the weed was relentless, but the birthday boy got his fight.

Harvey and his son Jason booked two days offshore to celebrate Jason's 40th and Harvey's birthday around the corner. Day one was a war — nasty seas, a dozen schoolie mahi east of the Hump. Day two the ocean laid down but the fish played hard to get. Four keepers and a big amberjack closed it out.

The mangrove snapper spawn moved to the ocean side on the July full moon. We got pushed off the first spot, slid a quarter mile to a yellowtail hole, then jumped back on the mangrove pile in 25 feet. Enough for lunch and home.
