Luca brought his two sons down from North Carolina for a shot at swordfish. Plans changed when a massive school of mahi showed up in 1,300 feet of water β biggest one over 25 pounds. We caught our limit and headed home with a full box.

Ryan brought his two sons Colin and Max out for a half day after morning thunderstorms pushed the departure. Current killed the flat line bite on the reef edge so we went patch hopping. Took home about a dozen snappers and walked them straight into Lazy Days for dinner.

Isaac Webb, 13, came down from Missouri with his dad Matt for a deep sea fishing trip set up through the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City. Rough seas, a tough bite, and a kid who fished through all of it. Five mahi on the dock at the end of it.

Matt Entrekin brought his son Thomas and his dad Bill down from Los Angeles for a full day offshore. Three generations on the DirtyBoat, mahi hunt out to 450 feet. Third set of birds was a school of 100 plus. Ended with 32 nice schoolies packed and shipped home.

Mr. Jones and his son Johnny came down from Texas to catch their limit of mahi and that is exactly what we did. Started rough with big waves and tangled lines. By the afternoon the seas laid down and they were sight casting and hooking their own fish. A well oiled machine by the end.

Josh Hascall booked a full day for three friends, two in finance and one in tech, all guys who had lived together off and on. Southeast breeze, close Gulf Stream water, a real grinder of a mahi day. We got enough for dinner.

Took my brother Matt, my nephew Matthias, and our dad Chris out to the reef for a mangrove snapper trip. Light east breeze, one to two foot seas, small tides, cooperative fish. Kept enough for dinner and had the biggest mutton cooked at the Fish House in Key Largo.

Andrew Kittler and his crew of six came out for a three-quarter day mahi hunt offshore. East breeze, close Gulf Stream water, scattered weed lines. Fishing was tough but we ground out enough for dinner.
